Playing games with health research?

Playing a game on an iPad might sound like a strange way to steer how our nation spends its health research dollars.

But two projects led by a U-M Medical School team have invited hundreds of Michiganders from Alpena, Manistee and Iron Mountain to Flint, Detroit and East Lansing to share their views on what they think America should focus on when studying health and health care.

In small-group sessions held at community centers and libraries in cities and rural areas, the U-M team has led community members in fun, engaging and thought-provoking sessions of an electronic game.
