U-M partners with Michigan schools to increase community access to mental health services

U-M’s Department of Psychiatry and Comprehensive Depression Center is partnering with 25 schools across Michigan to increase community access to mental health services by providing clinical training to school professionals.

Partnering schools include: Bangor Middle Schools, Bangor Behavioral Education Center, Godfrey Lee Elementary School and Southeast Kelloggsville Elementary School.

Seminars are held in conjunction with ongoing coaching and consultation for school social workers, counselors and psychologists who are learning evidence-based cognitive behavioral strategies to support students with depression and anxiety.
