U-M opens new Northville Health Center

Recently, the U-M Health System opened its doors at its newest health care facility in Northville. The Northville Health Center, located on Haggerty Road at 7 Mile Road near the Livonia border, brings a wide variety of routine and complex specialty health care close to home for patients in this growing area of western Wayne County.

“The U-M Health System is committed to meeting the needs of today’s patients, wherever they are and no matter how well or sick they may be,” says Dr. Michael M.E. Johns, U-M interim executive vice president for medical affairs.

The opening of this 100,000 square-foot site resulted in the addition of 175 new employees to join the 55 UMHS staff who have relocated from other UMHS locations.

Family Medicine also opened its sixth clinic this fall as it moved into the UMHS Livonia Health Center to offer family-centered primary care.
