Taking care of Michigan: Community-based dental education

The U-M School of Dentistry has a long-established history of providing oral health care to residents across Michigan. The school’s community-based dental education program sends dental and dental hygiene students to 26 sites in 24 cities and towns across Michigan.

One of the sites is the Hamilton Community Health Network facility in Flint.  Since January 2013, U-M dental students have visited the Hamilton clinic 38 to 40 weeks each academic year, providing high-quality care to area residents.
