The Michigan Clean Marina Program has named three Michigan marinas as Certified Clean Marinas. The three include: Tower Marine, Douglas; Saugatuck Yacht Services, Saugatuck; and Windjammer Marina, Oden.
All three have been certified for a three-year term through 2018. Forty-five Michigan marinas have obtained and are maintaining this prestigious certification.
The Michigan Clean Marina Program was initiated to preserve and protect the Great Lakes and its connecting waterways through voluntary efforts.
The clean marina program is a joint program between the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality, U-M Michigan Sea Grant and Michigan Boating Industries Association.
