Pam Fisher, a School of Education graduate from UM-Dearborn, is profiled as one of a growing number of alumni currently teaching in metropolitan Detroit. As UM-Dearborn gears up to celebrate its 25th birthday, the School of Education (SOE) continues to strengthen its relationship with Detroit Public Schools and the surrounding school districts.
UM-Dearborn’s SOE prepares its students to be leaders in local school districts. Workshops held by Richard Moyer, professor of science education and natural sciences, educate teachers about methods and familiarize them with campus.
SOE is accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council and recently was recognized as an “exemplary” teacher preparation institution for the fourth year in a row by the Michigan Department of Education.
