Dental students helping in Traverse City, Marquette

U-M School of Dentistry students are making a difference for patients in Northern Michigan by providing oral health care as part of the school’s community-based dental education program.

A summer rotation providing oral health care to migrant workers in the Traverse City area and special needs pediatric patients at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Marquette are just two examples of this important program. The community outreach program consists of direct partnerships between the U-M School of Dentistry and seven federally qualified health centers located in 13 cities throughout Michigan.
