In a partnership designed to ensure that patients receive the right care, at the right place, and the right time, the U-M Health System has signed a formal partnership with MidMichigan Health, a nonprofit health system with hospitals in Midland, Clare, Gladwin and Alma. The partnership gives U-M a small ownership interest in MMH and will make it easier for MidMichigan physicians to work with U-M physicians on clinical services and caring for individual patients. MidMichigan Health will also incorporate the “block M” into its own brand. The partnership will begin with an effort to align services for patients with cancer and cardiovascular disease, and will grow over time.
