What a day in west Michigan taught U-M students about entrepreneurship

The U-M College of Engineering’s Center for Entrepreneurship kicked off its second year with 50 university students on the Grand Rapids Entrepreneurs in Action Trek. With twice as many participants as last year, the trek program began with a deep immersion into the startups, accelerators and other cutting-edge companies that have been driving entrepreneurial spirit in Grand Rapids.

Throughout the program, students are exposed to the possibility that with talent and entrepreneurial drive, they could make an immense impact on companies in Michigan.

Students engaged with business founders and CEOs, entrepreneurs, and alumni representing west-Michigan companies. The exposure and direct contact with influential leaders in the area was the first step toward shaping their future careers.
