U-M’s Fast Forward Medical Innovation receives EDA grant

This fall, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced that 42 organizations from 28 states — including U-M’s Fast Forward Medical Innovation — will receive more than $17 million to create and expand cluster-focused proof-of-concept and commercialization programs, and early-stage seed capital funds. The awards come through the Economic Development Administration’s Regional Innovation Strategies program.

FFMI received a $500,000 grant to develop a scalable regional education and training program that encourages and enriches the hub’s biomedical innovation ecosystem across the state and the greater Midwest region.
