Teens across Washtenaw County have a better understanding of depression and how to seek help for themselves or others, thanks to a partnership between the University of Michigan Depression Center and area public school districts.
A new study shows that teen-developed depression-awareness campaigns created through the program had a major impact in 10 high schools.
Now, the Depression Center is offering the manual for the program — the Peer-to-Peer Depression Awareness Program, or P2P — online for any school to use.
