I-Corps program teaches students at WMU and U-M to pursue ideas that sell

Western Michigan University partnered with U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship to offer a six-week program that helps engineers and scientists think more like entrepreneurs.

The program mobilized five teams of graduate- and post-graduate-level college students with faculty members and mentors in the business world to try to commercialize ideas already being developed by those faculty members.

WMU and U-M provided funding for their teams with primary funding for I-Corps provided through the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
